Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt today said that Google has not yet submitted a new Google Maps application to Apple.
You might be familiar with the flaws within Apple’s new map app that keep getting people lost.
Well, that’s not about to change just yet.
Schmidt was speaking at a promotional event for the Nexus 7 tablet in Tokyo today when he announced that despite talking to Apple every day, they have not done anything.
Schmidt told a small group of reporters during his visit to Tokyo:
We have not done anything yet. We’ve been talking with [Apple] for a long time. We talk to them every day. [They] have to approve it. It’s their choice.
Maybe this will be resolved by the time the new iPhone is available in South Africa.
