I stumbled upon the new season of Dallas on TV last night. It’s not often I watch actual television, but I was intrigued to see how the original Dallas cast had aged. JR Ewing was there, played by Larry Hagman, and drama was not far away. Then came an ad break.
At first I thought it was a part of the show, as it showed Larry Hagman (JR Ewing) talking to a kid (possibly his grandson) about his toy helicopter. Then at the end he calmly tells the kid to ‘take that piece of shit and throw it away.” A logo and web address www.solarworld.co.za appeared, as the screen went blank. Oh my good Lord, I thought to myself – was that an ad?
Absolutely unbelievable and awesome at the same time!
