The search is on for the next person to follow in the footsteps of the current Miss South Africa, Mia le Roux.
This year, the Miss SA pageant is hoping to break barriers with a higher age limit and no size restrictions.
South Africans will once again get to know the finalists through the Miss South Africa reality competition television series Crown Chasers. Season 4 will include more episodes and, for the first time ever, include a post-finale reunion episode. Like Survivor, just with cleaner clothes.
Entries closed on Friday, April 11, but with all the tiaras now in the ring, Mzansi is buzzing over some familiar faces among the aspiring contestants vying for the title. These include actress and singer Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku, former “Big Brother” housemate Nsuku Mabunda, and actress and radio host, Mulisa Mudau, known for her role as Elelwani on SABC2’s “Muvhango” and as Enhle on Showmax’s “Tshepo”.
The current Miss SA dropped some gems for anyone thinking of entering: “Being Miss South Africa 2024 has been beyond my expectations. Your life really changes forever but you also get to truly change others lives and redefine what it means to be a powerful woman.”
“Come in with an open heart and mind. This journey helps you discover who you really are. Be real, be prepared, and above all – be kind.”
