We miss the days when people just snuck off for a quickie in the cramped toilets.

A Jetstar flight traveling from Bali to Melbourne with over 200 passengers onboard had to turn back after a passenger attempted to open a plane door while over the Indian Ocean.

Low-cost carrier Jetstar confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday, confirming the passenger was arrested after landing back in Bali.

“We had to return the aircraft to Denpasar (Bali’s airport) last night after a disruptive passenger tried to open one of the aircraft doors and was abusive toward the crew,” Jetstar said.

A video circulating on social media recorded the pilot announcing that a woman at the back of the aircraft attempted to lift the door handle before a warning signal alerted the crew.

Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 indicated that the plane turned around over the Indian Ocean about an hour into the journey.

We miss the days when people just snuck off for a quickie in the cramped toilets, but fortunately, it’s not that easy to open an aeroplane’s doors mid-flight:
