The RSAWEB Cape Town Triathlon is back and better than ever!
On 23rd March 2025, the Cape Town CBD will come to a standstill as some of the bravest athletes take centre stage, conquering swimming, running, and cycling through the heart of Cape Town.
With Table Mountain as the backdrop, breathtaking scenery, and an electrifying atmosphere, whether you are racing or cheering from the sidelines, this is an event you do not want to miss!
What makes the Cape Town Triathlon special is that it is for everyone, whether you are ultra fit or a newcomer, young or old, this event caters to all.
Choose the event that suits you best! If you want to channel your inner Olympian, take on the standard distance, which includes a 1,500m swim from the stunning Oceana Power Boat Club, around two buoys and back twice, exiting at the beautiful Grand Africa Café.
Then, its on to the scenic 40km cycle, completing a two-lap ride along the beach road to the Sea Point Circle at Queens Beach and back, followed by a 10km run in and around the beautiful Green Point Urban Park, where your friends and family will be cheering you on at the finish line.
There is also a shorter distance called the sprint, which features a 750m swim instead of the standard 1,500m swim, a 20km bike ride, and a 5km run. Additionally, there are team events for both the standard and sprint distances, as well as races for under 18s, so there is no excuse not to get involved in one of the most exciting racing events Cape Town has to offer!

With the help of the City of Cape Town, Smile 90.4 FM, and other amazing sponsors, even if you are not racing, you can still have just as much fun as those who are.
With live music, food trucks, a mini course where they can kickstart their triathlon journey, and exciting competitions, the Cape Town Triathlon is an event the whole family can enjoy. So, bring the kids, grandparents, friends, whoever you like, and experience the absolute jol that the Cape Town Triathlon has to offer!
