All 10 teams gathered at London’s The O2 for Formula One’s first-ever season launch event, which also marked the remarkable 75th anniversary of the sport.
Hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, the event took place in front of some 15,000 passionate fans, while being televised by various broadcasters and streamed to countries all over the world – meaning everyone could get involved in F1’s anniversary celebrations.
It was a spectacular event by all accounts with musical performances by the likes of Take That, country music sensation Kane Brown, composer Brian Tyler and award-winning singer-songwriter mgk. But the real stars of the evening were the F1 teams and their drivers for 2025.
Fans had their first chance to see Lewis Hamilton as a Ferrari driver and the event gave the new crop of rookie drivers a chance to introduce themselves before heading into pre-season testing next week.
It was also an opportunity for fans to express their selections for the year, and while Max Verstappen and his Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner, were booed, Lewis Hamilton received a huge shout, clearly indicating who the frontrunner is for 2025. If we dared pick a pony, we’d have to choose the prancing horse as well for this year.
Each team had seven minutes to unveil liveries and give its own presentation, theatrics, music and video. Due to F1’s copyrighting issues with YouTube, we can’t display the video here, but you can watch the highlights of the F175 event HERE.
Meanwhile, here are some shorts:
