A private jet owned by Motley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil veered off the runway at a Scottsdale Airport in Arizona and crashed into another aeroplane – leaving the pilot dead and several others hospitalized.
Vince was not on the jet, but the 64-year-old vocalist’s girlfriend Andreani, 43, and a friend were on board – both survived the crash and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
Footage obtained by a local news outlet showed the moment the aircraft skirted along the runway and hit the other jet.
The Scottsdale Fire Department said at least one person died on the scene and three people were hurt when the aeroplanes collided Monday around 2:45 PM.
‘We had five patients we treated. One was a fatality, we had two immediate that were transported to local trauma centres, we had one delayed patient and one patient that refused treatment,’ Scottsdale Fire Department Captain Dave Folio said.
Folio said that crews are still working to remove the body of the victim who was killed from the jet. Local media reported that four people were aboard the Learjet and one person on the Gulfstream jet.
