Yet another video has appeared showing the aftermath of a truck ploughing into several cars, this time close to the intersection of Camps Bay Drive, Victoria Road and Geneva Drive.

Videos of out-of-control trucks and smashed cars are becoming a bit too regular now, but as far as we could gather, nobody was seriously hurt in this latest wreck involving a water truck.

According to online comments, the truck blew through the stop sign at Geneva and the video shows the result. The section of road is notorious for people ignoring the stop sign coming down from Geneva Drive, or as one commenter put it: “I think I’m the only driver who actually stops at the stop signs.” You’re probably right.

Perhaps we should start adding FULL to all stop signs in Cape Town just to emphasise what the STOP part really means.
