Legendary Full House actor and evergreen pretty boy John Stamos is being trolled online after he posted a photoshopped picture of himself in a bald cap alongside actor and friend Dave Coulier, who is battling stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Stamos took to Instagram to share a photo alongside Coulier, who was smiling with a freshly shaven head.
The bald cap seems to be Stamos’ attempt to stand in solidarity with Coulier but to the internet, the gesture seems somewhat shallow and perhaps a case of vanity over empathy.
“Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro,” Stamos wrote on Monday.

Stamos, 61, applauded Coulier, 65, for taking on his cancer journey “with so much strength and positivity.”
“It’s inspiring,” the actor added. “I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you.”
Well, “stand with you” is overselling it a bit, and despite the obvious good intentions behind the post, several fans questioned why he had to wear a bald cap to share his message. To many, it seemed a “shallow gesture”.
“A bald cap is showing solidarity? You can just take your cap off and be ‘normal’ again. When people take this route they actually shave their head. I can’t help but feel that you’re using Dave’s diagnoses as a way to make yourself more likeable.”
“What a shallow gesture! Couldn’t even cut your hair off for your friend. And you made sure to post it on Instagram to get those likes too.”
Some folks did come to Stamos’ defence, saying that perhaps the actor was currently filming something and was contractually obliged to keep his magnificent coif, but honestly, when last did Stamos star in anything?
Coulier told People that the cancer hadn’t spread past his lymphatic system, and shared he would be undergoing chemotherapy until February 2025. The actor said he was told his cancer was in the “90 per cent” curable range.
Perhaps everyone is being a bit too mean. At least Stamos is by his friend’s side, so what does it matter if he’s too vain to shave his head? Nobody wants to see Stamos look like one of the Coneheads.
