Cowboys, cowgirls, and saloon girls are all invited to attend the newly refurbished Royal Cape Yacht Club’s annual Opening Cruise in the Regatta Centre this Saturday, 5th October.
The theme for this year is ‘Wild West Saloon’ so everyone is invited to channel their best ‘land pirate’ look, with the best-dressed crew winning free club membership.
Expect “plenty of line dancing, singing along to old honky-tonk piano tunes, and a rootin’-tootin’ good time”.
This year we will not have a “best-dressed boat” but rather encourage boats to adorn their bunting, burgees & nautical flags onboard.

Official proceedings will kick off at 12h00 on the deck, followed by the Sail Past through the V&A Waterfront with boats adorned in bunting, burgees & nautical flags. After that, it’s down to The Wild West Saloon for some fun.

Sounds like a great jol to loosen the limbs for summer.
