Grammy Award winner Tyla took to Instagram yesterday to announce her upcoming South African tour.

The international superstar, known to her fans as the “Queen of Popiano,” will be bringing her award-winning music to her home nation for her first headline gigs in December.

She made this announcement alongside AnythingGoesSA and ShowtimeSA, promising an immersive show, with some of her best hits mixed in with new songs from her self-titled album, Tyla.

Tyla has also been nominated for five South African Music Awards (SAMAs), making her the front-runner for the showpiece, which will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand on 2 November 2.

The hitmaker received nominations for several prestigious accolades, including Best Pop Album, SAMPRA Album of the Year, Ukhozi FM Female Artist of the Year, and SANTAM Newcomer of the Year. Her status as a rising global artist was further solidified when she and Travis Scott worked together on the hit song Water, for which she was nominated for Best Collaboration.
