Nearly fifteen years have passed since Oasis broke up due to one of the most notorious sibling feuds in popular music history.
However, it seems like brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are finally in agreement about something after they shared the same teaser on social media, suggesting a major announcement will be made on Tuesday, 28 August.
Does this mean one of the most influential bands of the nineties might be getting back together? Definitely maybe, and Tuesday’s the day that all the world will seeee. Sorry, we couldn’t resist.
“This is the reunion that no one thought would ever happen. Liam and Noel have been staunch enemies for well over a decade, but they have secretly been back in touch.”
The band’s first album, Definitely Maybe was released 30 years ago this month and if the quarrelling brothers manage to bury the hatchet and reform, it will be one of the most lucrative reunions in a long time.

Though rumours have swirled for years now, The Times reported this weekend that unnamed industry insiders were “adamant” Noel and Liam would reunite on the same stage next summer in the UK and there were “murmurings” Oasis could perform a headline slot at Glastonbury.
One rumour, they suggested, was that the band had booked big gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park and 10 nights at Wembley Stadium – which would beat the record of eight shows set this year by Taylor Swift.
Given the couple’s history, it does appear that the relationship could be improving.
Liam used to refer to his brother as an “old housewife,” a “potato,” and a “sad f***.” However, on the last night of the Reading Festival, Liam gave his brother a song dedication: Oasis’ Half the World Away.
In June, he made a similar gesture and said that Noel was “still playing hard to get… but you never know.”
Famously, Noel Gallagher was the one to quit the band in 2009, citing his inability to continue working with Liam for even a day. Additionally, he has continuously denied reports of a reunion, stating firmly that he “doesn’t want to tarnish the band’s incredible heritage” and that his relationship with his brother is “too broken”.
Never say never. Either way, we’ll know tomorrow, but until then, imagine these boys back on stage together:
