People get into freaky situations to get that ultimate selfie, but what if that photo becomes the last moment they are seen alive?
A married couple was forced to jump off a train trestle into a 27-metre gorge to avoid the oncoming train that suddenly interrupted their scenic photoshoot.
The horrifying moment that the couple dove from India’s Goram Ghat Bridge in Pali, Rajasthan, India moments before a huge passenger engine passed over the very spot in which they stood was caught on camera by a few other tourists along the way.
Authorities explained that they were walking on the meter gauge railway line on Goram Ghat bridge when, suddenly, a Marwar passenger train from Kamlighat railway station approached, per Men’s Journal.
Witnesses reported that the couple was deeply absorbed in taking photos and creating other content for their social media pages. They seemed completely unaware of the encroaching train until it was nearly upon them, fellow sightseers said.
The video, recorded mere metres from the train, shows the locomotive bearing down on the pair. Warning, the videos may be disturbing to some viewers.

Miraculously, both victims – confirmed to be Rahul Mewada, 22, and Jhanvi Mewada, 20 – survived the fall. However, they sustained “grievous injuries” in the process. Rahul’s condition is reportedly “particularly severe.”
Emergency services were quickly deployed to the scene, transporting the Mewadas to a local hospital where their injuries were evaluated and found to be “significant”.
Lately, the Goram Ghat Bridge has become a favourite spot for both locals and tourists, thanks to its stunning views perfect for social media shots. But after a recent incident, local officials are thinking about tightening up safety measures.
Another video shows just how dodgy the bridge can get with flocks of tourists trying to get the money shot.
