Surveillance footage has captured a gush of water flooding a Titanic exhibit near Chicago, mystifying museum officials who say they couldn’t find roof leaks, burst pipes, or anything that could have caused the flooding during their inspection.
Footage of the ghostly flooding was shared on local news outlets, showing a large amount of water suddenly flooding the room where several artefacts from the doomed Titanic were displayed.
According to the museum, this is not the first time the exhibit has experienced ‘paranormal activity’.
Volo Museum Director, Jim Wodjtyla, told NewsToday, “I’m not a huge ghost guy, but when all this happens… I mean we’re looking but there’s no cracks, there’s no holes. There are no broken pipes. The ceiling is fine. Everything around the building is totally fine.”
For decades, many visitors, employees and residents of the property have reported experiencing unexplainable occurrences, with the flooding of the Titanic exhibit being the latest mystery.
Over the years, museum visitors have reported seeing a young boy staring at them from outside the window on the fourth floor. Others claim to have seen bottles floating in the air, and images of a soldier roaming the halls.
Paranormal show “Ghost Lab” visited the site in 2009, and claimed to have filmed ‘a shadowy figure sitting on some furniture’. At the time, the show prompted more guests, workers and the family to come forward with ghost stories and, since then, visitors have sent in photos and stories about creepy experiences, including stories of white dogs walking through mirrors, dolls found in strange places and a boy peering through the fourth-floor window — from the outside.
The museum owner, Brian Grams, told the media that he thinks the ghost likes the Volo “because of the antiques.” We’re sure the museum also likes the ghosts because of the publicity.
