Authorities at Johannesburg women’s prison have reportedly thwarted convicted Krugersdorp serial killer Cecilia Steyn’s plan to pull a Thabo Bester.

Steyn is housed along with some of South Africa’s worst female offenders in the Johannesburg prison’s ‘D3 maximum section’, where during a search, Correctional Services allegedly found a floorplan to the prison in her cell.

The Devilsdorp serial killer has now been moved to another prison, along with eight of her fellow degenerates, such as bestie Marinda Steyn, child-killer Rochelle Botha, and Hildegard Steenkamp (who stole R537 million from her employer).

Netwerk24 reported that Correctional Services is keeping mum about what happened last Sunday, when beds were tipped over, cupboards raided, and cellphones and the “map of the prison” were confiscated. A spokesperson for the department, Singabakho Nxumalo, wouldn’t confirm the events when contacted by the publication and he strongly denied the alleged escape plans.

He said prisoners’ belongings were “routinely inspected as part of the department’s daily tasks”, and forbidden items or contraband, such as drugs and cellphones, were confiscated.

Due to “safety reasons”, he didn’t want to confirm the transfer of any prisoners but said it was often done due to overcrowding in the country’s corrective centres. However, a source described “something out of a movie” when the entire D3 section was put under lockdown last Sunday and cells were tossed Prison Break-style.

According to the source, Steenkamp, Botha, Marinda Steyn, Cecilia Steyn, Cecilia’s new love, and three other women were moved from the prison. Relatives of the women were also told that they could not visit them during the last session and that the head of the prison ‘would be in touch’, which adds credence to reports that the dodgy crew have been moved.

The same Netwerk24 source claims that Cecilia has been working on an escape plan for a while now, perhaps inspired by the shenanigans of Thabo Bester.

Allegedly, the plan was to “pay someone” to put something into the prison food to make everyone sick. The source said Cecilia and her ragtag crew of misfits would not have eaten the food and, when prisoners were taken to hospital, Cecilia and the gang would have made their break.

It was previously alleged that Steyn had started a relationship with Poffadder murderer, Suretha Brits, who was moved to another prison after the news of their murderous romance surfaced. You might remember Suretha Brits from 2020 when she killed her husband and threw his body into a swimming pool to cover up the orchestrated murder.

Cecilia Steyn and the rest of the prison-breakers forget that they are not criminal masterminds, otherwise, they would not be in the dubious company they find themselves. With her plans scuppered, Cecilia and her wack hairstyle will have to continue the 13 life sentences she received in 2019.
