After analysing data from 47 Western countries, researchers from The Netherlands found that, even with the introduction of vaccinations and containment measures, there have been over three million additional fatalities since 2020.
According to the study, there were over a million additional deaths in 2020 throughout Europe, the US, and Australia during the pandemic’s peak; however, there were also 1.2 million in 2021 and 800,000 in 2022 following the implementation of preventative measures.
In addition to COVID-19 deaths, the figure also includes the “indirect effects of the health strategies to address the virus spread and infection,” according to researchers.
The experts cautioned that more recent data on side effects has not been made public, with each country maintaining its own unique databases of risks that rely on self-reporting by patients and medical professionals.
Ischemic stroke, acute coronary syndrome, brain haemorrhage, cardiovascular disorders, coagulation, haemorrhages, gastrointestinal problems, and blood clotting have been cited by experts as side effects associated with the COVID vaccination.
The findings emphasise other published research that suggests excess mortality rates from chronic illnesses and other natural causes were actually driven by the COVID-19 response.
A study by the School of Public Health and the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), published in the journal PNAS, provides the first concrete data showing that many of these excess deaths were indeed related to the COVID-19 epidemic, although no direct correlation between the deaths and vaccines was established.
Although they acknowledged that it was difficult to establish, researchers stated that it was “likely” that the pandemic’s containment strategies, limited access to healthcare, and socioeconomic turmoil had contributed to mortality.
Delaying cancer detection will result in deaths, Gordon Wishart, chief medical officer at Check4Cancer and visiting professor of cancer surgery at Anglia Ruskin University, has warned on multiple occasions.
“Early in the lockdown period, it was predicted that limited access to healthcare for conditions other than COVID-19 would result in delays in the diagnosis and treatment of critical illnesses like dementia, diabetes, cancer, and heart disease, and that this would lead to excess deaths from these conditions,” he stated.
“The authors are correct to point out that many vaccine-related serious adverse events may have been unreported, and point to the fact that the simultaneous onset of excess mortality and Covid vaccination in Germany is worthy of further investigation on its own.”
Wishart continued: “The paper provides more questions than answers but, it is hard to disagree with their conclusion that further analysis is required to understand the underlying causes of excess mortality to better prepare for the future management of pandemic crises”
Following a question posed to the European Parliament in 2023, Dr John Campbell concluded that there were higher numbers of excess deaths in 2023 in countries with high COVID-19 vaccination rates such as the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand and Denmark, based on data from The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Experts are now calling for more research into the side effects of vaccines and possible links to mortality rates.
At the moment it seems that the answer greatly depends on which media outlet you get your facts from, whether it is from ‘mainstream media’ or one of the thousands of YouTube videos, fringe articles, or WhatsApp voice notes your mother sent you.
Even the Dutch research discussed here only encourages further investigation into ‘possible’ vaccine-related deaths, and no recognised medical institution has conclusively claimed that vaccines caused the excess mortality rates. The fact that everyone was vaccinated following the pandemic makes excessive mortality rates just more controversial.
