Our favourite red wine event, the Shiraz, Charcuterie and Cheese Festival, returns to Anthonij Rupert Wine in Franschhoek this Saturday, 25 May. And this year, they’ve added a delightful twist to the experience.
They’re adding a selection of fantastic cheeses, from creamy Brie to aged Gouda, along with huge fat Kalamata olives and everything tapas to the delicious charcuterie, along with a lovely array of fine Shiraz.
This year, organiser Darielle Robertson has added an extra element to the proceedings, with a range of artisanal cheeses from leading Cape Town producer Puglia Cheese as well as cheese and charcuterie from Wild Peacock, and more charcuterie from Joostenberg Bistro & Butchery and Richard Bosman.
Live music will add to the laid-back, relaxed ambience of a perfect autumn day spent tasting fine red wines in Franschhoek.

Wine tastings will take place between 11h00 and 14h00, and sales and live music run from 14h00 to 16h00.
Kids are of course welcome and those under 18 come in for free. Entry for the adults is R350 per person, which comes with a free glass to allow you to taste all the wines at the show – over 30 in all!
Tickets are now available at Webtickets.
