Putting an end to all the wild theories about being missing, Kate Middleton recently released a video message addressing the world about her battle with cancer.

The Princess of Wales has since received an outpouring of love and support from the public, with a source even confessing that Prince Harry is worried about his family despite not being on the best terms with them.

Yep, even as social media goes ‘soul-searching’ after fuelling conspiracy theories, the estranged royals Harry and Meghan continue to make headlines.

Reports suggest that Harry and Meghan were unaware of Kate’s battle with cancer until the princess publicly disclosed it. This revelation surprised royal followers, particularly given Harry and Meghan’s reduced visibility in the British royal family since stepping back from their official duties in 2020.

Experts noted that the couple across the pond attempted to privately connect with Kate following the public announcement. However, new reports indicate that Kate is handling her recovery without necessarily needing their direct support, per Hindustan Times:

Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith recently spoke to the New York Times, asserting that Kate is not relying on Meghan and Harry for support. Instead, she will seek solace from her close circle. “Kate doesn’t need Harry and Meghan to console her. She has her parents and a sister, and she’s very close to King Charles.” Said Smith.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had issued a public statement wishing Kate a healthy and speedy recovery:

“We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.” Following this, ITV’s royal editor Chris Ship claimed that the couple were in touch with their brother and sister-in-law but kept it an extremely private affair.

Per OK! Magazine, a source said that Harry is actually fretting more than he has let on, saying he feels “helpless” living so far away while his family struggles.

“Though he would never really leave Meghan and the kids behind, he did threaten he would go to England without her,” a source claimed. “He feels helpless living so far away as his family is struggling. He can’t stand by and not do anything.”

“Harry wants to be there to support William and Charles,” said the source. “The royals are in crisis right now.”

The palace announced Kate’s surgery in January, but when Harry hopped over the pond to see his father — who had just revealed his cancer diagnosis — he failed to see his sister-in-law.

“It would be the normal run of things to go and see your sister-in-law who’s had a serious operation and also see your niece and nephews. But it isn’t normal,” an insider shared. “It’s terribly sad.”

“This is all to do with William’s wish to protect the institution of the monarchy, which he feels Harry can’t be trusted with. I don’t think William will ever agree to readmission of Harry into the family unless he clearly apologizes and moves forward,” royal author Robert Lacey also noted.

As per a source close to the family, they’re keeping a tight lid on things to prevent Harry from divulging any information, a concern that arose from his past disclosures in his book, Spare, and his Netflix special.

“They are aware of everything that goes on back in England, but are being left out of any details regarding Kate,” a source dished. “There is clearly no trust.”

Shame, Harry made his own bed and now he has to lie in it, despite how uncomfy it might be.
