Nestled in the heart of Cape Town lies a hidden gem that caters to those seeking a worldly kind of cannabis experience.
Stepping through The Alibi’s doors is like entering a secret sanctuary reserved only for those who can properly appreciate a decent spliff.
The club offers a haven where members can unwind, socialise, and network in an upmarket setting far removed from any coffee shop vibe.
Inside the club, you’re met with an ambience of calmness, fun decor, plush furnishings, and very noticeable attention to detail – particularly when it comes to the cannabis products on display. The variety alone will bring most weed lovers to tears, but fortunately, there’s always a friendly face around to help guide you down the rabbit hole.
Comfortable lounges and accessible open and private working areas make The Alibi seem like a cool head office, but the eclectic artwork, cinema screens, books, and fascinating little accents everywhere tell you that this is mostly a place where you can take a breath, and exhale.
The Alibi has now taken its vibe to the bustling seaside neighbourhood of Sea Point with the opening of Nirvana, their third private member’s club.
This multi-club collaboration cements their status as Cape Town’s foremost cannabis club – and probably the best place to have breakfast on a Saturday morning.
Most cannabis clubs are private areas, so only registered members have access. These members are of legal age and must have completed an application process to become members.
The Alibi, like other recognised cannabis clubs, is not open to the general public, but members are welcome to bring guests. Being a full member, however, offers you access to a variety of regular events such as movie nights, First Thursdays, PS5 Fifa competitions, and exclusive tastings from the country’s leading cannabis producers.
