A video showing a Klerksdorp man involved in a shooting with home invaders justifies how paranoid South Africans have become.

The incident occurred during the early hours of Sunday 24th February. The video shows three men sitting around a kitchen island having a late-night chat when two masked men appeared in the back garden.

As luck would have it, the first man to notice the intruders was armed and quickly drew his weapon. Shots are exchanged as the scene quickly turns chaotic, with one of the men seemingly sustaining a gunshot wound.

The gun-toting man has been identified as Fritz Smit, a father of three. Fortunately, the injured man survived the shooting. Check out the video below, but be warned, it’s a shocking scene.

A husband and father of 3 boys.

Fritz and friends of him was attacked in the early morning hours of 24 February 2024.

Frits was shot in the face and jaw was crushed.
