Gruesome story warning. A Pennsylvania man, who fell out of the crazy-tree and hit every branch coming down, was arrested this week after he displayed his father’s head during a YouTube video while spouting conspiracy theories.
Justin Mohn, 32, was charged with first-degree murder and abusing a body after police discovered the headless body of Michael Mohn in the toilet of his Bucks County home on Tuesday night.
Mohn was seen wearing gloves and holding his father’s head in a plastic bag in the video, which was taken down by YouTube soon after. The killer made wild claims about his father being a traitor for being a US government employee and called for the “death of all federal officials”.
Later in the video, the head can be seen in a cooking pot. Muy loco this one.
Sky News reported that Mohn ranted about right-wing conspiracy theories in the 14-minute-long video, which violated YouTube’s “strict policies prohibiting graphic violence and violent extremism.”As with most conspiracy okes, Mohn was reported to have been very active on social media and regularly promoting his own music as well as books, which includes dystopian science fiction. Of course.
He also released a nonfiction book via Amazon in 2017, titled “The Revolution Leader’s Survival Guide,” which contained the transcript of a letter to then-President Donald Trump warning of “a peaceful revolution helped led by the author if positive change does not come to America and the world soon.”
Captain Pete Feeney of the Middletown Township Police Department said: “We didn’t know where he was going and what his intentions were when he left here. Fortunately, we were able to get a location based on his cellphone.”
Conspiracy theorists always forget to turn off their phones when they flee.
When officers arrived at Michael Mohn’s home, they discovered most of him in the bathtub, along with a machete and a big kitchen knife. According to reports, police then found Michael Mohn’s head inside a plastic bag in a cooking pot in a bedroom. They also found the bloodied rubber gloves the killer had been wearing in the video.
YouTube has been taking some flack for only removing the video several hours after it was posted, but they released a statement saying, “The video was removed for violating our graphic violence policy and Justin Mohn’s channel was terminated in line with our violent extremism policies. Our teams are closely tracking to remove any re-uploads of the video.”
Mohn’s rant included threats against President Joe Biden’s administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community and Antifa activists.
Mohn seems to have had a history of ‘lashing out’ after court documents show he filed lawsuits against US federal agencies, including the U.S. government, claiming they ‘negligently caused him to take out student loans’ between 2010 and his graduation from Pennsylvania State University in 2014. The case was dismissed, and the judge claimed that the suit was “inaccurate allegations of a disappointed college graduate.”
But Mad Mohn was back in court once again in 2020, alleging ‘wrongful termination and sex discrimination against men’ at his employer, Progressive Insurance. This followed his firing in 2017 for kicking open the doors to his office building. During this period he also found time to head out to Vegas to ‘pursue a music career’.
It’s hardly ever appropriate to call someone crazy, but somehow ‘musician and author’ doesn’t quite describe this guy.
