Blunders and Zuma go together like peas and carrots, or ANC and corruption, but even attendees at Monday’s MK Party branch launch had to laugh at the old man’s slip of the forked tongue.
During a speech to get would-be voters excited about voting for the latest pointless grouping of sycophants parading as a political party, Zuma told the splattering of people, “They have made this thing easy; they do not say take arms [and fight]. Just go and vote for ANC, no, not ANC … sorry.”
At least the crowd found it funny and laughed along with the guy who sold the country to the Guptas and whoever else had cash. The worst president ever publicly announced in December that he would not vote or campaign for the ANC during the 2024 national elections, but instead for the new kid on the block, MK Party.
“In 2024 I will vote for Umkhonto we Sizwe [MK] party. I have decided that I cannot and will not campaign for the ANC of [president Cyril] Ramaphosa. It is not the ANC I joined; it will be a betrayal to campaign for the ANC of Ramaphosa. My conscience will not allow that.”
Conscience? Now that’s a real joke. Even funnier than saying he will campaign for the MK Party, but not leave the ANC.
“I will vote for MK, but I will not leave the ANC, I will die there. The ANC is different from other political parties. It was built by our ancestors, religious leaders and intellectuals as a party opposing white people who did not want us to have rights.”
Social media shared the political gaff, with many people saying he should be forgiven as “his heart is still with the ANC.” We beg to differ, Zuma’s heart is with whoever pays his legal fees.
Lol, President Zuma still loves the ANC shame..lol…what an honest mistake…#Cyan penuel. Lizzy. Bafana bafana. #MatricResults2023 pic.twitter.com/IUk4RI9bZe

Honest and Zuma in the same sentence? Teeheehee. It’s really not that funny if you think about how many people still pay attention to this guy, but expect politicians from all across the spectrum to spew plenty more k*k in the next few months as the 2024 election draws nearer.
