Anyone who is actively on the hunt for a new penthouse would tell you how hard it is to find both good views and a cryogenic room in this housing market. Fortunately, the biggest penthouse in Dubai’s history has just been listed for a cool R3 billion, and some change.
One of the priciest listings on the planet is the penthouse apartment located within Raffles The Palm Dubai Residences on the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah, and offers a three-storey, 7,200 square metre of over-the-top luxury.
Seran Gheorghe, director of sales for Raffles the Palm Dubai Residences, said in a press release, “Transcending the ordinary, this remarkable penthouse seeks to provide an exceptional lifestyle that seamlessly combines elegance, convenience, and practicality.” And did we mention your own cryogenic room?
Living at one of the most coveted locations in Dubai comes with eight meticulously designed bedrooms, an extravagant 20-person dining table, and a tastefully built bar, alongside numerous other upscale amenities such as a private gym, an outdoor swimming pool, and a basketball court.
Besides the aforementioned cryo room, the penthouse also features a ‘hay relaxation room’ where you can literally roll around in a bed full of dried grass. This is of course a must-have for anyone following the ‘hay bathing‘ trend made popular by those who love a good roll in the hay for wellness reasons.
If the hay and freeze luxuries still don’t seal the deal, the palace at the top also includes a gourmet chef’s kitchen that’s equipped with traditional Japanese Teppanyaki grills, a swanky cigar lounge, a mini golf course that’s nestled within a meditation garden, and an indoor-outdoor movie theatre. For the petrolheads, there are also enough dedicated parking spaces to store up to 10 vehicles at once.Gheorghe believes that the sale of this lavish residence “would mark another significant milestone in the history of Dubai real estate.”

If this is slightly outside your budget this early in the year, just remember there is no shame in eating 2-minute noodles for the rest of January. There’s always next year.
