Take part in the iconic Christmas tradition this year, but with Cape Town’s No. 1 pizza!
Butler’s Pizza is hosting an ‘Elf on the Shelf’ challenge, giving someone the chance to win a pizza party every week.
The Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition originated in America, where starting from December 1, ‘Santa’ sends a magical elf to homes for children to help him manage his naughty or nice lists up until Christmas Eve. The cute custom is based on the children’s book The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition, which tells the story of a mischievous elf who is on a mission from the North Pole to find out which kids are being ‘naughty’ or ‘nice’.
The elf supposedly gets up to all sorts in each kid’s house before reporting back to Santa in the evening, which is really just an opportunity for parents to set up an elf display every day to thrill the kids into thinking the little creature is real.
So now that you know the deal, Butler’s Pizza wants to see what original Elf on the Shelf situation you can come up with.

Butler’s Pizza will need you to take a photo of what the naughty elf gets up to and share it with them via Facebook or email at competition@butlers.co.za.
Then, every week, Butler’s will select the naughtiest elf photo to win a pizza party. The pizza party includes four medium pizzas with four toppings each, along with a special mini elf-sized pizza to feed the naughty elf.
Winners will be contacted directly and announced on Facebook.
That gotta be the best advent calendar idea we’ve seen so far.
