Imagine just trying to get to the beach to take a dip in the sea when suddenly these lanky beings start freaking out all around you, throwing things at you and screaming?
Shame, that’s the experience of one lone crocodile on a Mexico beach, who had to scoot over the sand and into the water after beachgoers panicked upon seeing it.
Yahoo! News reported that holidaymakers in a popular resort town got the shock of their lives when they were greeted by the unexpected visitor while enjoying a swim at the beach.
Footage taken at a beach in Zihuatanejo, Mexico last week shows the moment the reptile appeared on the sand, scaring away swimmers who fled the water.
A lifeguard took it upon himself to direct the croc into the water, whistling and throwing a life jacket at the creature to make it move as other swimmers skedaddled out of the water:

Three types of crocodiles – including the Morelet crocodile, the American crocodile, and the Spectacled Caiman crocodile – are known to roam the area of Zihuatanejo, and other popular beaches in Mexico.
In most cases, these Mexican crocs are considered harmless to humans, and locals welcome them freely. Still, nets are used to stop crocodiles from approaching popular swimming areas in the region, in the same way that shark nets are used here.
The reason this croc made it onto the beach this time was apparently because the nets were broken during a storm. The Zihuatanejo city government reportedly announced taking more safety precautions and said they will be replacing the damaged net.
