There’s no better South Africa than a rugby South Africa.
The Rand can be at its weakest, unemployment rates can be skyrocketing, crime can be evermore destructive, you could be jobless and homeless tomorrow, or at the very least have less food in the fridge and petrol in the tank, but when the Bokke play – none of that matters.
Saffas are good at keeping spirits high in the face of major adversity, but it is when we watch the Springboks pounce on world competitors that we truly shine.
We’re all gearing up for this Saturday when arguably the biggest rivals in the realm of international rugby will go head-to-head in what is anticipated to be a colossal clash.
With three World Cup titles under both the Springboks and the All Black belts, this year’s Rugby World Cup final decider match at Paris’ Stade de France – neutral territory, nogal- will see both teams doing their utmost to bash out another record fourth global title.
In an effort to let us celebrate together (because we’re going to win, right?) the safety and security directorate of the City of Cape Town’s events department has announced that it will host free fan parks for rugby fanatics and vibe chasers to catch all the action, noted Cape Town ETC.
The City will host fan parks to watch the RWC final in the CBD, Langa and Mitchells Plain, where we can back the Bokke together! 🇿🇦🔥

Bree Street in the CBD, the Monwabisi Sport and Recreation Centre in Langa, and the Westridge Civic Centre in Mitchells Plain will turn green and gold.
Each spot will come complete with a massive screen set up for the special event. There are also plans for there to be a food court and a DJ to set the mood.
According to the City, the fan park will be accessible from 5PM, so hurry into town early to secure your prime viewing spot. Kick-off for the final between South Africa and New Zealand is at 9PM.
Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis said that more details about this fan park and others will be released closer to the time, so keep an eye out on all socials.
