Someone started filming a car chase turn car crash that occurred on a busy highway in California recently, when suddenly the cop shoved the driver down on the road and punched her.
It is reported that the Cali Cop was after the female suspected shoplifter as she had allegedly stolen $2,000 worth of goods from the Gateway Plaza shopping mall in Vallejo on Friday.
After the wild car chase ended in a road accident, the cop ploughed the suspect from her car in an attempt to cuff her, slammed her against the car and shoved her to the ground.
As the woman appeared to resist while lying on the ground, the arresting officer was seen punching her in the head, with police saying it was necessary to get her to comply, per the New York Post. After some wriggling, he was able to put the handcuffs on her as other officers arrived at the scene.
The whole scene was caught on camera by one witness and has since gone viral on TikTok, amassing over 780,000 views:

Vallejo police said the incident began after a loss-prevention officer waved down officers and told them about a duo who had stolen merchandise from the shopping plaza. The cops were able to locate the suspects based on the loss-prevention officer’s description, but when they initially tried to arrest the driver, she allegedly resisted and drove away.
This resulted in a car chase, which was short-lived as the suspects ran a red light and collided with two vehicles. The accident implicated a cement truck and an SUV carrying a mother and her two four-year-old sons, police said. Thankfully, the boys were fine, while the mother suffered a few injuries.
While the officer arrested the driver, her alleged accomplice ran from the scene but was caught later on by a passerby.
These shoplifters had apparently managed to steal $2,000 worth of merchandise, which was recovered from the car. The pair are already in the system for previous crimes, including the stealing of $1,000 worth of merchandise from a store on September 26.
Records show the driver was already on felony probation for grand theft and shoplifting and had previously been arrested in October for stealing $30,000 worth of products from another business, police said. Meanwhile, her accomplice, who was also not identified, has a $10,000 warrant for her arrest in San Mateo for burglary and a $50,000 warrant in Napa for grand theft.
