Another idiot with a gun learned the hard way that a firearm doesn’t make you bulletproof when a vigilant motorist knocked him over as he tried to stop his car.
In a video that was shared by SA Trucking King, and has since gone viral, the motorist is seen travelling behind a bakkie and a minibus taxi when he slowed for a traffic light. The GTA wanna-be can be seen sidling over towards the traffic before pulling a gun from his pants and pointing it at the driver.
Fortunately, the driver was wide awake and as the robber neared the car, the driver accelerated and knocked the gun-wielding oke aside with his vehicle. Here, have some bumper boet.
The video cuts out soon after the robber lurches across the car’s bonnet, almost colliding with the window like some bug. People have applauded the driver’s quick thinking as South African drivers are seeming to be fighting back against a growing number of poepols waving guns around.
The video is accompanied by a caption that reads: “Please be aware on Mew Way heading to the N2 or R300, especially if you’re driving a marked company vehicle. This is my second incident on this stretch since June. They seem to be targeting marked vehicles because they know we have company laptops. Safe week ahead.”
Never pull a gun in a bakkie fight. Or a Tazz for that matter.
