A tourist has just wowed everyone with a video showcasing the iPhone’s incredible zoom capabilities.
TikTok user Peter posted a clip, captioned “This should be an iPhone ad”, in which he impressively zooms in on Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa in the crowded Louvre museum in Paris, France.
In the viral video, which has racked up 9.7 million views and over 580,000 likes, Peter begins with a tight shot of the world’s most famous painting. At this point, we all believe that Peter has queued for hours during Paris’ peak tourist season in July to get a coveted close-up view of the Mona Lisa – until he dramatically and unexpectedly zooms out of the shot to reveal just how far away he is from Da Vinci’s masterpiece.
Who needs to hack through crowds to see the famous painting up close and personal when you have an iPhone?

It is unknown what iPhone model Peter is using, but the model has a 9x zoom – which means it must be anything from an iPhone 13 upwards.
A Taylor Swift fan also used her iPhone 14 Pro Max’s zoom to impressively focus on the singer at her concert, captioning the video with “This is your sign to get an iPhone 14 Pro Max”:
@pinotpls Wait for me to zoom out lmao tbh this should be an ad for @apple ???? #fyp #iphone14promax #taylorswift #erastour #phillyerastour #phillyerastournight2 ♬ original sound – courtney
When a product is so good, the advertising manages itself.
If you’re convinced and want to circumvent human bodies to see things up close, your nearest Digicape, South Africa’s largest independent Apple retailer, should be the first place to look for an affordable chance to own an iPhone.
