Two tiny alleged ‘alien corpses’, retrieved from Cusco, Peru, were presented in windowed boxes in Mexico City on Wednesday, stirring excitement within the UFO conspiracy theorist community.
The event was spearheaded by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan, who testified under oath that the mummified specimens are not part of “our terrestrial evolution”, with almost a third of their DNA remaining “unknown”, reported Mexican media.
At the public hearing, Mr Maussan showed US officials and members of the Mexican government several videos of “UFOs and unidentified anomalous phenomena” before unveiling the alleged alien corpses.
He said: “These aren’t beings that were found after a UFO wreckage. They were found in diatom (algae) mines, and were later fossilized.”
Maussen said the samples were analysed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the scientists who managed to get DNA samples applied radiocarbon testing to determine their age. After comparisons were made to other DNA samples, it was found that over 30% of the specimens’ DNA was “unknown”.

Maussen was accompanied at the session by former US pilot Ryan Graves and Avi Loeb, professor of astrophysics at Harvard University. Graves also presented evidence at a hearing in the US Congress in July.
It is now generally accepted in scientific and political circles that there are unusual phenomena that cannot be identified, but there are still deep disagreements about their origin.
Maussen gave testimony under oath but his claims have not been proven and have been associated with claimed discoveries that have since been debunked.
It’s strange that the ‘unveiling’ was done in front of the Mexican Congress though. Perhaps they are more receptive to weird ideas and possible ridicule than the supposedly more ‘legit’ nation to the North. Although some news outlets have covered this story, the majority have relegated it to the pages that deal with killer stepmoms and people finding alligators in their toilettes. It’s just weird in every way.
Alien bodies, inspected by scientists, are unveiled to a government on live television and the world goes meh.
What’s an alien mummy got to do to get some attention?
