Travis Barker, drummer for legendary pop-punk band Blink-182, has provided an update on the band’s UK and Ireland tour after he was forced to fly back to the United States due to a “life-threatening emergency surgery” for his unborn baby.

The band was set to kick off their UK and Ireland tour in Glasgow but had to cancel due to what was described as an “urgent family matter” that required Barker’s immediate return home.

Now Barker has revealed the gravity of the situation and the reason for his hasty return to the States. The drummer took to X to share the news and express his gratitude for the successful surgery.

God is great. I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well. I want to say thank you for all the support. Tour resumes Friday.

This update comes after reports that Barker’s wife, reality TV royalty Kourtney Kardashian, was out of the hospital and “feeling better.” Kardashian announced her pregnancy at a Blink-182 show in June, holding up a sign that referenced the band’s iconic ‘What’s My Age Again’ video.

Fans of the power couple were left emotional over Barker’s quick exit from his band’s tour to be by his wife’s side.

According to Kardashian, having to go to hospital for “urgent fetal surgery” was a huge shock considering the ease of her previous pregnancies.

Following the relieving news, Blink-182 has not yet provided details regarding refunds for ticket holders for missed shows. However, all upcoming concerts in the UK scheduled for October, including two nights at London’s O2 Arena, are set to proceed as planned.

Blink-182 fans have more to look forward to as the band’s frontman, Tom DeLonge, recently teased that their upcoming album is only weeks from release. While an official release date for the LP remains undisclosed, DeLonge has boasted that this project is poised to be the band’s “best album” yet.

As specific details are yet to emerge regarding Barker and Kardashian’s baby, fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that all is well for now.
