A Twitter/X post is doing the rounds that show the medical scan of someone that thought it was a good idea to wear a butt plug while undergoing an MRI scan, and the image will make your butthole clench in terror.
The post supposedly originated from an attorney representing the person who is now suing the manufacturers of the aforementioned butt plug for false advertising.
According to the lawyer, the makers of the sex toy claimed their product was 100% silicone, which is, as we all know, not very magnetic. The plug however contained a metallic core, and seeing as the ‘M’ in MRI stands for ‘magnetic’, we assume you know where this tragedy is headed.
Right up the ol’ back door.
Describing the “greatest personal injury case I’ve ever heard of”, the lawyer claims that his client wore the accessory to an MRI scan, as one does, believing that ‘it’ll be fine’. However, the moment the MRI was switched on, the sex toy ‘accelerated at the speed of sound into client’s chest cavity’ – described in a memo as an ‘anal rail gun’.
Fortunately the client survived the horrific ordeal, although with severe injuries.
Given how similar this sounds to other urban legends that involve MRI machines, we can be forgiven for being a bit skeptical, even though the scans look legit. Still, I don’t even wear spectacles to the dentist out of fear of getting zapped by one of the torture devices they shove into your mouth. Best to err on the side of caution when it comes to being probed.
Why anyone would go for a hospital procedure with a silicone sex toy shoved up their caboose is something most of us will never be able to wrap our sphincters around. And yet, some people sport man-buns and wear Crocs. To paraphrase Hunter Thompson: “People get incredible kicks out of things you’ll never understand”.
Never wear a butt plug to your MRI appointment. My god… pic.twitter.com/qdA6sV3mKE

If it still needs to be said, never wear anything metallic when going for an MRI scan. MRI machines work by creating powerful magnetic fields (about a thousand times stronger than your Big Ben fridge magnet), so anything on, or inside you, will naturally be attracted to it.
