The doe-eyed girlfriend of murderous rapist Thabo Bester is back on the stand for another round of confusion, and this time she is running with the narrative that Thabo threatened her to go with him, and she was alone, defenseless and helpless when she was taken out of SA.
Nandipha Magudumana claims to have been terrified of Bester and had no reason to leave SA.
It was only when she was arrested in Tanzania, a search of the vehicle conducted by police that she found out that there was a passport belonging to her in the vehicle.
Throwing the kidnapping card onto the table (this time not against her ‘rescuers’), the doctor broke down in court as she requested bail so she could take care of her two children, aged eleven and six.
She chose to remain silent regarding her defence, as she feared it could be used against her at a later stage in the ongoing Thabo Bester matter, which is also playing out before the courts. You might recall the pair’s last appearance when Thabo strutted around in his Gucci’s as she gazed lovingly into her ‘kidnapper’s’ mad eyes.
Her fear is palpable.

Magudumana, who grew up in Port Edward in KwaZulu-Natal, said if granted bail, she had no intention of skipping court appearances or fleeing SA. Not again.
Magudumana faces charges of aiding and abetting a fugitive, fraud, and violating a body – charges she intends to plead not guilty to.
Dr Magudumana recently also issued a letter through her lawyers, claiming powerful politicians and business people were behind her suffering and incarceration at a Bloemfontein prison. She went on to claim that she was “illegally” incarcerated at the Bizzah Makhete Correctional Centre in Kroonstad, near Bloemfontein.
In her letter, she states: “The many painful times I have suffered physical, emotional, financial, and sexual abuse at the hands of powerful men, including some of the most powerful and prominent families in South Africa currently occupying the highest offices in government and business”.
Magudumana said she would be able to give more details about these shocking claims, but when and where is probably for another court appearance. For now, she is “having deep conversations with God, who was giving her strength daily.”
She’s either the most kidnapped and abused person in the country, or she’s squirrelly in the head. It does however seem like her ex husband is the only one who managed to dodge a bullet in this whole maddening saga. Everyone else is a victim.
The trials & tribulations continue.
