The public bickering from Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg surrounding their supposed ‘cage fight’ continues to delight and bore netizens with reality-TV levels of spice as the two have it out over social media.
In a new twist, the newly-acquired Threads boss Zuckerberg has publicly called out Elon Musk for his lack of commitment to the proposed duel.
The Facebook founder took to his new social media platform to express his frustration, stating that Musk seemed unwilling to take the fight seriously and that maybe it was time to move on from the whole thing entirely.

The idea of a fight between the two tech moguls was first suggested by Musk in June, and it quickly gained attention.
Loads of peeps have weighed in on the seemingly ridiculous plan, including Musk’s baby-momma and electronic musician Claire Boucher, who seemed surprisingly chill about the whole thing.
Both Zuckerberg and Musk hinted at the possibility of a charity event, with Musk even suggesting that the proceeds could go to veterans and paediatric hospitals. Despite all the macho posturing surrounding the suggestion, including a proposed ‘dick-measuring contest’, this part of it seems like a wholesome idea.
Zuckerberg has also previously revealed that Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has offered to help organise the match as a serious charity event. A big ol’ name drop there from Zuck, but a helpful one no less.
However, it seems that Musk has been non-committal and even suggested doing a practice round in Zuckerberg’s backyard. C’mon Musk, give the people what they want: a balls-to-the-wall real-deal fight in a proper arena.
In response to Musk’s lack of commitment, Zuckerberg made it clear that he was ready to move on. A bro break-up, or broke-up, if you will.
He stated that if Musk ever became serious about a real date and official event, he could reach out, but for now, Zuckerberg intended to focus on competing with individuals who take the sport seriously. Fair enough.
Despite the anticipation and excitement generated by the potential fight, it seems that the bout will not come to fruition unless both parties can agree on the terms and take the event seriously. As of now, Musk has yet to respond to Zuckerberg’s statement.
Will this fight actually happen? In a comedic response to Zuckerberg’s Threads post, one user shared an anecdote that felt validly comparable to the back and forth between the pair of tech-bros:

An amusing thought: the Zuck and Musk years from now as old toppies in their 60’s still gaaning on about their ‘big fight’. Ah, bless this mess.
