A while ago we came across a story about ‘face-peeling aliens‘ that were harassing a village in Peru, and although the article was very entertaining, we ignored it for fear of being accused of spreading ‘fake news’, being conspiracy theorists, or nutters. We do after all only tell it as we see it, but in this case, we are glad we waited before bringing you the news of the events that have unfolded in the jungles of Peru.
The attacks began on July 11th, and according to the people of an indigenous tribe in Peru, ‘yellow-eyed aliens’ were terrorising their village – even going as far as abducting one of their teenagers.
According to a local leader of the Indigenous Ikitu group living in the northwestern Maynas, “These strange beings are aliens. They seem armored like the Green Goblin from Spider-Man. I have shot one twice and it didn’t fall. Instead, it elevated and disappeared.”
The freaked out local described the beings as having “long heads with glowing eyes, their color is silver, their shoes are round in shape and with those, they rise up. They float one meter high and have a red light on their heel.”
To make the sightings even more compelling, the man actually managed to take a picture or two of the ‘beings’.
I enhanced one of the Peru videos, the one where they shine a flashlight on one of the alleged creatures and say “There it is!” I don’t know what we are seeing here. Is it a being or just tree branches?? You decide.#ufotwitter #UAP #Aliens pic.twitter.com/9hyhQtd9Px

News of the alleged extraterrestrial attackers quickly spread online as believers, skeptics, and internet sleuths around the world analysed grainy videos posted by members of the Ikitu community.
The reported sightings also came on the heels of U.S. congressional hearings about unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) that ignited a global conversation about the possibility of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth, and made authorities take the villagers a bit more seriously.
Members of the Peruvian Navy and Police were eventually forced to travel to the isolated community, which is located 10 hours by boat from the Maynas provincial capital of Iquitos, to investigate the strange disturbances.
After conducting an ‘investigation’, authorities now believe that the ‘aliens’ are in fact illegal miners who may be using ‘jetpacks’. Their proof seems to be the 110 dredging operations and 10 illegal mining camps they found in the surrounding jungle.
As for the jetpacks, the evidence seems to be a report from a local teacher who said that “the aliens were using state-of-the-art technology, like thrusters that allow people to fly.” He said that after looking the devices up on Google, he believed that they were “jetpacks.”
Right. That seems to put an end to the jungle invasion of the ‘face-peeling aliens’ theory. Sounds legit, and accepting that a bunch of illegal miners in the Peruvian jungle are flying around with jetpacks should help us skirt accusations of fear-mongering and kakpratery.
We’re glad to put this one to bed now.
