A trio of female shoplifters targeting a Burlington store in California were filmed in the middle of their brazen getaway.
The heist unfolded on Saturday at the discount retailer’s North Freeway Boulevard location in Sacramento, reported New York Post, with footage showing the women slowly wheeling out three shopping carts of allegedly stolen merchandise before loading their boot with the loot.
“Damn look at these people stealing! Say hi to the camera!” the bystander filming the incident can be heard saying, as alarms blared in the background.
Posted by @ppv_tahoe, the account noted that in addition to their plucky looting, the three shoplifters had also parked in a handicapped spot without displaying a placard. The sheer audacity!
At least we can’t say looting is exclusive to South Africa:

The Sacramento police have confirmed to The Post and The Daily Mail that they’re actively investigating the audacious alleged theft.
Investigators should have solid clues to help with the investigation, as the bystander video clearly shows the face of the getaway driver and the license plate of the red Dodge Charger. He even tried to get the name of the one lady.
Like other retailers in the US, the Burlington chain has contended with a disturbing increase in organised shoplifting carried out by criminal gangs with varying levels of sophistication:
According to the National Retail Federation, ‘shrinkage’ cost retailers $94.5 billion nationwide in 2021, up from $90.8 billion from 2020. Shrink includes loss from theft, fraud or employee error.
California has been one of the epicentres of organised retail crime, and yet, state lawmakers in the state are considering legislation that would ban store employees from confronting thieves.
Odd, but their reasoning is to ensure nobody gets shot. That’s America for you.
