Binnelanders actor, Bradley Olivier is still on life support after being admitted two days ago. His family has now released a statement saying that his ‘recovery is no longer possible.’
In a terribly sad time for the family, they requested that speculation and social media posts confirming his death please be stopped and that the family be given time to deal with what can only be described as a tragedy.
Messages of condolences flooded the actor’s timeline on Tuesday, July 18, when news spread that Olivier had “died”.
His close friend and family spokesperson, Solomon Cupido, has set the record straight in an official statement. The statement read:
“It is with profound sadness that we confirm that Bradley Olivier is currently on life support after being admitted on Monday evening.
“Bradley has been an extraordinary presence in our lives, known for his talent, achievements, and dedication to his craft. He has touched the hearts of many around the county, leaving an indelible mark on the industry and the community.”
“Despite their tireless efforts, it has become evident that he has reached a point where recovery is no longer possible.”
The statement continued also requested “the media and the public to refrain from spreading speculation or engaging in sensationalism. We understand the interest in Bradley Olivier’s condition, but it is crucial to prioritise compassion and respect for the family’s wishes.”
The statement went on to read that the star is not showing any sign of recovery and has asked people to remember him through his body of work.
Fans of the actor will be familiar with how much he loved his family as his Instagram account is filled with tributes to his wife and daughter.
Bradley is best known for his starring role as Xavier in the Moja Love telenovela Hope, the first scripted drama to air on the channel.
He attended the Tshwane University of Technology from 2005-2007. He landed his first screen role in 2007 after winning a nationwide talent search to find new actors for the kykNET soapie Villa Rosa, as the character JJ.
