It’s game, set, and match for Wimbledon 2023 as Carlos Alcaraz slowly but surely dismantled Novak Djokovic’s dream of becoming a 24-time Grand Slam Champion during a four hours and 42 minutes battle.

The GOAT, Djokovic, eventually had to relent to the 20-year-old Spaniard’s onslaught in front of a star-studded crowd at Centre Court.

The result of Wimbledon 2023 has already ignited speculation over the start of a generational shift, with 36-year-old Djokovic carrying the torch of the ‘Big Three’, now that Roger Federer is retired and Rafael Nadal is sidelined, perhaps permanently.

Australian Open and French Open champion Djokovic had been bidding to equal Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon titles and match Margaret Court’s all-time mark of 24 Slams.

From the looks of it, the kids are going to be alright.

Wimbledon drew more than its usual share of celebrities this year, perhaps the SAG strike allowed some of the more recognizable figures to have a bit of downtime.

Among the crowd were spotted Daniel Craig, Brad Pitt, Idris Alba, and Tom Holland. The spattering of celebrities was, of course, in addition to the standard benevolent royalty, especially Kate who is just killing it right now.

Dare we say that Brad is currently looking extremely pretty for an old man.

Well done, Carlos!

With Wimbledon all wrapped up, sales of tennis racquets will likely soar, so get yours before prices get jacked.
