Hijackers are pretty wily these days, sneaking up on motorists even when they think the coast is clear.
A scene caught on CCTV cameras in Impala Park, Boksburg is a case in point, showing a brazen hijacking unfold before the victim decided ‘not today, satan’.
The time stamp on the footage shows that the crime occurred on Wednesday, with the video, shared by Vehicle Trackers on Twitter, going viral.
Knowing everyone is safe and unharmed makes for a rather fascinating watch, with a lesson learned in how to make a fast getaway from your property before anyone gets their hands on you or your car.
This motorist is a total beast – take note:

The hijackers must have thought they were smart for bumping into the closing gate to keep it ajar, but the victim was even smarter for not giving a f*ck about keeping their gate intact so that they could make an escape to safety.
Damaged property isn’t ideal, but everyone alive is.
Ways to avoid an incident like this might be to check (and check again) that you are not being followed, notes SA People, advising you to “Always be extra vigilant when leaving malls, your work, or when heading home late at night.”
Also make sure you have emergency numbers on hand, such as your security provider, SAPS, and your neighbours, in case you suspect you’re being followed.
As you can see in the video, it helps to be vigilant as you drive into your driveway but even that can turn into a vulnerable situation if someone comes out of nowhere and wedges your gate open.
In that case, go balls to the wall, my friend. This is South Africa.
