Seconds after he shrugged off his friend’s warning, a fisherman was bitten by a shark that pulled him overboard into the murky waters of Florida’s Everglades last Friday.
“I wouldn’t put your hands in there,” a person off-camera said before his pal was dragged into the water while rinsing his hands. “Ah, two seconds won’t do anything,” said the man who was immediately pulled overboard by the predator. Classic.
The shocking video shows the moment the shark chomped onto the fisherman’s right hand and dragged him head-first into the water as he screams and splashes around.

“Get him! Get him! Get him!” the friend screams in a panic as another person on board yells: “Oh my god.”
USA Today mentioned that park rangers responded to the scene and treated the man for a hand injury. He was then airlifted to Jackson South Medical Center by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel for further treatment.
No other details were released regarding the severity of the man’s condition.
While it is unclear which species of shark bit the man, it was probably the most aggressive species of shark, also known to inhabit the Everglades – the bull shark, a mid-size predatory shark that can inhabit both freshwater and saltwater habitats.
