Theresia Nyirakajumba has lived through World War I, II, the Cold War and would have seen the Berlin Wall fall, but according to the 123-year-old, she is still searching for a “courageous man to emerge and embrace my soul.”
The Rwandan woman has remained a virgin her entire life and has never had a boyfriend, but she admits that she wishes to meet that one special guy.
Nyirakajumba grew up in a culture that prohibits dating and requires a woman to be introduced to a man by her family, but in the last 123 years, her family has never introduced her to any potential suitors.
“In my culture, girls were not allowed to be alone with a man. This principle was my way of life. I chose to live alone, even when my parents and family requested me to accept a man and marry.”
Because of her upbringing, she has never been exposed to men and this led to a fear of the male species. But after a century of being a wallflower, she has gotten over her fears and hopes to meet a man and experience physical love.
“I have never seen the nakedness of a man. For 123 years, I have lived with an unfulfilled desire, a deviant hope, and a courageous spirit of waiting that one day a man will emerge and embrace my soul.”
There’s something beautiful about the way she describes her longing for love.
“At the moment, you can help me and bring me a man.”
Check out her story below.
We really hope this lady gets a good guy to teach her the ways of love.
