A woman at a US fast food joint called Sonic got a bit more value for her money than she expected when she bit into a hotdog, only to discover a baggy of Charlie’s Boom Boom powder – also known as cocaine to those who don’t listen to UB40.
Instead of a new way to get repeat customers, it turns out a secret ingredient was accidentally dropped onto her hotdog by a clumsy chef, who has now been busted.
Jeffrey David Salazar, 54, now faces a felony charge for possession of a controlled substance. According to the police report, a woman called the police after biting into her hotdog, and instead of fried onions, found a plastic bag containing a suspicious white powder.
Cops did a field test and found the powder to be cocaine, which led them back to the ironically named Sonic fast food franchise.
After reviewing CCTV footage, Salazar was seen doing a dodgy hand-to-hand transaction with a female employee, before going to prepare a customer’s order. When he was done, the footage shows him frantically searching around for something in classic “Oh shit my stash is gone” desperation.
As can be expected in America, the lady now plans to sue the franchise, but honestly, we think she got more than she paid for, and should rather have kept quiet and gone to Tiger’s Milk for a few beers and bumps with the girls.
Never look a cocaine horse in the mouth. Also, drugs are bad so rather don’t do them.
At work.
