The murky water of wokeness just got a bit murkier after Caitlyn Jenner blasted a transgender athlete for taking second place ahead of other girls at a school track event.
The woke confusion and subsequent capital-laden tweet from Glamour’s Woman of The Year came after a male transgender athlete, Athena Ryan, finished in second place in a varsity girls 1 600-metre run finals on Saturday.
Jenner joined a murder of parents and tweeters in claiming that the trans athlete, who identifies as a girl, had no right to take second place away from another, more female, athlete.

Okay, let’s pause the outrage for a few seconds to let the sediment settle at the bottom of the woke swamp. It appears that Jenner is miffed that someone who identifies as a woman, yet is biologically male, managed to beat several other ‘real women’.

She goes on to say that “FYA trans ppl you are being used by the radical gender ideology cult as political pawns. That’s all you are to them.”
Is Caitlyn attacking the very ‘gender ideology cult’ that supported her in an extremely public quest to become a woman? Or am I trying to apply Gen X thinking to Millennial confusion?
Jenner started out as being very vocal about respecting people’s right to identify, and be treated, based on their ‘inner gender’. Is she now saying that the poor kid needs to give her medal back because she doesn’t deserve it, being a ‘male’ and all?
Is Caitlyn going to return her Woman of the Year award?
That probably depends on whether she wants to stay relevant in a country that is beginning to treat its LGBTQ+ folk like a tumour that needs to be removed. With the Disney-hating De Santis running for president in the upcoming US elections, Jenner may just be worried about getting kicked out of her holiday house in Florida.
You can’t fight for transgender people’s rights one day and then belittle their rights the next.
Staying on the ‘right’ side of woke politics is confusing enough without its figurehead acting like a dick.
