Mia Lee used to make a killing while working on Wall Street, but then she decided that sleeping with married men for money would be more lucrative and rewarding.
She may be a former Wall Street forensic accountant, but she still has a taste for expensive past-times like whiskey sipping, cigar tasting and joy rides in sports cars.
To make ends meet, Mia 180’d into being self-employed, running her “professional girlfriend” business where she escorts rich men who happily hand over a minimum of $3 000 for just two hours of her time. That’s just under R60 000.
What is the secret to her success, you ask? Psychopathy.
The super-successful sex worker is a self-diagnosed psychopath, proudly saying that she views things in a “transactional” manner, according to Insider’s report.
“I don’t really have empathy,” she defiantly declared during the interview. “I’m much more cut and dry.”

Psychology Today describes psychopathy as “a condition characterized by the absence of empathy and the blunting of other affective states. Callousness, detachment, and a lack of empathy enable psychopaths to be highly manipulative”. The National Institutes of Health notes psychopathy as “a neuropsychiatric disorder marked by deficient emotional responses, lack of empathy, and poor behavioural controls, commonly resulting in persistent antisocial deviance and criminal behaviour”.
Clinical and forensic psychologist Darrel Turner told Insider that not all people with high levels of psychopathy are violent or destructive, though, able to rather use their lack of empathy to get ahead and become “fierce competitors” in highly competitive fields.
Lee, for one, said that her primary goal in life is to make money, and she pretty much doesn’t give a shit about anyone who gets in the way of that.
At one point she was married, but fighting with her then-husband continuously. She point-blank decided on a divorce when she realised that “the negative externalities of the relationship were directly impacting my bottom line and that was completely intolerable for me”.
“Anyone who fucks with my money, you are more than dead to me,” she added.
You go girl?

Before her kinky career pivot, Lee was using her laser focus to make six figures investigating complex bank records to prevent financial fraud on Wall Street, crediting her personality as being helpful to her career success. Depression and burnout lead her to sex work, and thankfully, she doesn’t feel a thing, per The New York Post:
Lee added that she operates “very algorithmically” when it comes to relationships, which also stops her from developing any attachment to her male clients.
In her “girlfriend-for-hire” business, she charges the wealthy Wall Street traders she once called her colleagues a small fortune to keep them company:
“My tagline is, ‘You can take the girl off Wall Street, but you can’t take the banker out of the whore,’ and it turns out that that plays really well into a lot of professional gentlemen’s dream-girl-from-the-office,” fantasies,” Lee told Insider.
When she had her first sexual escapade with a man from an escort website, she says she “remember depositing that money into my bank account and being like, ‘I have gamed the f–king patriarchy,” instead of feeling the expected shame, guilt, and dirtiness.
