Politicians suck, but every now and again they suck a little less.
For instance, the mayor of Portsmouth in the UK, who used a Metallica song as his entrance music for his inauguration ceremony.
For those of you who still think Nickelback is heavy metal, the song used is Eye of the Beholder, from Metallica’s Justice for All album. Real heavy metal.
Despite what you think of the genre, you have to admit that it sounded awesome to see the mayor and his troop cruise down the hallowed halls of politics while the Imperial March-like riffs sounded through the room.
He also got his timing just right and takes his place at the podium just as the beat kicks in. Check it out:
