Are you excited to watch Tom Cruise fling himself off a mountain on a bike in the next Mission Impossible? Us all, ya.

Because every screen playing Top Gun: Maverick also had the trailer for this new outtake attached to it, audiences have been waiting almost a year to see what Ethan Hunt will get up to next.

The seventh instalment of the franchise, Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One, has all the globe-trotting action and Cruise-centric stunts that fans have come to expect.

Thankfully, fans can be slightly satiated until the movie comes out in theatres on July 12 with a new action-packed trailer (the last trailer we saw was last year).

Gizmodo notes that the trailer shows everyone’s favourite former IMF agent (Cruise) along with returning cast members Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Vanessa Kirby. They’re joined by newbies such as Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, and many more. Have a look-see:

The trailer doesn’t reveal too much. We still don’t know why Ethan had to jump off that cliff while looking for some kind of key, but we are soon to find out.

Then, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part II, which will wrap up this story—and maybe Ethan Hunt’s story entirely—is on the way on June 28, 2024.

That was filmed partly here in South Africa, so we are all frothing for that even more so than part one. Hopefully, we see a little sneak peek when part one is played in theatres on July 12.
