Content creator Maggie Anne just babbled on all the working secrets behind Harrods, including underground tunnels, people getting the sack for breaking strict rules, and how royalty get to browse the aisles in peace.

Harrods is that famous department store in London, which has become a tourist attraction for selling a wide selection of luxury goods, incredible food halls, and quintessentially British knick-knacks (think: tea, biscuits and teddy bears). Just like the thousands of shoppers who visit daily, royal families and A-list celebrities adore the sparkling shop.

Taking to TikTok, Maggie gave the rundown on some of the shop’s inner workings, including exposing the secret hotel-to-shop VIP underground tunnels that get high-profile people in without anyone knowing:

Maggie started: “I worked in Harrods for two years and there’s some pretty cool things that go down in that place that the general public will have no idea about.”

The Sun notes that a £300 million luxury hotel development in London’s rich Kensington and Chelsea was given the green light by the local planning committee in 2020, with the plans showing a direct hotel-to-Harrods secret underground tunnel.

Besides, a few other alleged ex-Harrods employees said they can confirm that everything Maggie revealed was indeed true. Hear it from Maggie – just ignore the free contour tutorial:

Maggie reckons people like Drake and Beyonce would be quite familiar with these secret tunnels, but said that royal families (mostly from the Middle East and not the British royal fam) are probably whisked in by helicopter:

In Part Three of things only the employees know about Harrods, Maggie divulges on the “hella expensive fragrances” with one allegedly being priced at £250 000 (which is around R6 million) – absolutely more than a house of a well-to-do Saffa:

Oh how the other half live, as she said. It’s more like the other zero point something percent, but you get the drift – some people have that f*ck you money and they absolutely use it to say f*ck you.
