Another foreigner has gone missing in Cape Town, while authorities and private volunteers are still searching for missing German tourist, Nick Frischke.
The 38-year-old US woman, Julie Goodness, was last seen in the Higgovale neighbourhood at 07:45PM last night.
She is believed to have gone for a run, and as an experienced trail runner, authorities believe she may be on the mountain somewhere.
Goodness was last seen wearing a purple/pink long-sleeve sports top, blue jeans and colourful sneakers with pinkish soles, and a big black oversized puffer jacket. She was carrying a canvas tote bag in a cream/off-white colour.
She is 1,6 metres tall, weighing about 50 kilograms, with dark brown hair and blue/grey eyes.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts can contact Warrant Officer Toua on 061 441 0530.Goodness’s disappearance comes at a time when the city is still searching for Nick Frischke, the German tourist who presumable disappeared on Table Mountain on 14 February. The young man was allegedly robbed while on a hiking trail on the day, with Frischke’s visa credit card found and recorded in a police logbook of stolen property recovered in Houtbay.
Three suspects were arrested on charges of house robbery around the same time and were formally linked to Frischke’s disappearance. His worried family have offered an R20 000 reward for information on his whereabouts, but so far there has been no trace of the missing man.
The disappearance of a loved one must be the worst experience of anyone’s life, so if you are reading this, spread the word and help get these people back to their families.[source:capetownetc]
