Guess Who Will Be Returning For ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3?

What does Mike White have up his sleeve exactly?

While fans have worked out workable (ish) plot twists to see Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya McQuoid return to The White Lotus, Mike White seems to have other plans for season three.

His loss. She could easily wash up on the beach in Italy, be found by a god-tier hunk as she deserves, be whipped off to court to win back her fortune from her scammer husband and continue business as usual.

She could also return as Tanya’s estranged twin sister who travels to Thailand to spread her sister’s ashes. Full circles are pretty.

That’s right, in case you’re not abreast of all things White Lotus-y, the next lush location for the hit series will be Thailand.

While the show’s crown jewel (Tanya) will remain at the bottom of the Ionian Sea whispering something about “the gays”, a ‘friend’ she smoted in season one will be gracing our screens once again.

That’s right, Belinda is back in business:

That’s Natasha Rothwell, who played The White Lotus spa manager Belinda Lindsey. If you’ll recall, Belinda’s season one story ended on a sombre note after the money promised to her by Tanya to open her own business went unfulfilled.

So what will she be doing in Thailand? Will she be back on the godawful grind? Will she be a guest (smirk)? Will she be running the entire operation (larger smirk)?

We do know she won’t be exacting any revenge on Tanya. But perhaps Tanya left her a small thank-you in her will?

E! Online notes that no other season three casting announcements have been made:

However, when fellow season one star Connie Britton was asked by E! News in January about the rumors she would also be returning, she bit her tongue and said, “My lips are sealed!”

What does White have up his sleeve?

There is also a little birdy chirping something about White Lotus fanatic Jennifer Aniston joining in:

In March, Jennifer told E! News she’s “obsessed” with the show and would love to join the cast, even making a pitch to series creator Mike White. Jennifer and Mike worked together on 2002 movie The Good Girl, so perhaps the idea isn’t so far-fetched.

The possibilities are endless.

Since the first season was about money and the second season was all about sex, according to White, the third season he says will be “maybe a satirical, funny look at death, Eastern religion and spirituality”.

Sounds fun and exciting but we’ve still got a long wait ahead of us. Season three hasn’t even started production yet.
