South Africans are gatvol of crime.
A viral video has been making the rounds of a 71-year-old woman from Gqeberha whipping the shit out of an alleged cable thief that was caught on the grounds of a retirement home.
The video would be shocking if we weren’t drowning in an ocean of petty crime that often leaves ordinary South Africans in the mood for some vigilante justice.
While most commenters have praised the feisty granny, Mario Zeelie, Chairperson of the Algoa Park Neighbourhood Watch has rightfully pointed out that scenes like this are becoming more common in the face of a failing police service.
“The police hopelessly fail in their duty to protect and serve the public. There are good guys, but most of them are useless.”
I’d dare say the most useless are the taxpayer-funded buttplugs at the very top, like Bheki Cele and his stupid hat. While they love to visit the aftermath of crime, wringing their hands in fake sympathy and holding macho media conferences, policing seems to be left to 71-year-old grannies. And by the looks of it, she seems to be doing a better job.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we were allowed to whip the incompetence out of our ministers if they fail us like the current crop of cretins clearly have done?
Watching the video of this ou tannie going to town on the ‘poor thief’ shows you exactly how frustrated we all are.
